Dec 1 2009
Well, we made it through the first day. The hardest part was remembering the "eating" schedule. My husband is doing well. (He likes the green drink better than me.) He says he's practicing seeing red meat as flesh to overcome his love for fast food. He told me he was actually craving salad yesterday!
We ate Mixed Veggie Soup Broth from kale, spinach, and swiss chard. It wasn't bad when I added cumin, liquid amino acids, and cayenne. Tasted like the pot liquor left over from a good pan of greens.
We also had Yellow Squash and Carrot pureed soup with ginger that was thicker and really took the dent off of our hunger. Today, Craig will be juicing some veggies so we can add some variety.
The feelings I felt yesterday ranged from excitement about taking control of my health to weakness from not eating what I wanted. By the time I went to bed last night, I was feeling chills and a sinking feeling in my upper body. All day I felt a type of lightness, not exactly dizzy, but close.
Today, I feel clearer. I slept well, but woke up with a sense of restlessness. I and my prayer partner prayed that whatever was pressing me be revealed.
I feel a little more energetic...let's see what today holds.
